I’m a self-taught artist who’s been doodling, sketching, and painting for as long as I can remember.
My practice brings together traditional techniques and hands-on craftsmanship, from metalwork and woodwork to cyanotype and monotype printing.
I’m especially drawn to hands-on processes, and I spend a lot of time crafting my own brushes and binding sketchbooks from scratch. Each one a functional piece of art.
As a multidisciplinary artist, I explore different mediums, always looking for fresh ways to express ideas and tell stories through making.
Much of my work is driven by a fascination with giving old things a new lease of life, blending materials and methods to create something fresh, layered, and often unexpected.
I’m inspired by the quiet beauty of the natural world, especially the North Norfolk coast.
The sounds, views, and atmosphere of that landscape find their way into my work, influencing both the mood and the materials I choose.
